Where to Take the Kids for Indoor Play in Round Rock

February 22, 2018 12:36 pm

When the weather is too harsh to play outside or your kids just want to get out of their homes in Round Rock TX to do something different, try these local indoor activity spaces where kids can kick up their heels, feast on pizza or create a masterpiece:

For physical activity:

–       Pump it Up: Indoor inflatable playground with open playtime, party rooms, special events and discounts. Children must be at least 34” tall to play on the inflatables.

–       Catch Air Round Rock: Variety of play areas including ball pit, slides, bounce house, light-up dance floor, climbing wall, trampolines and more. Most suitable for kids 12 and under.

–       CHASCO Family YMCA: A family aquatics center, kids’ gym and playscape are just a few of this Y’s amenities. Non-member day passes are available.

–       Monster Mini-Golf and Laser Tag: Spooky scenery takes this mini-golf venue beyond the ordinary. Kids can golf, play laser tag or do both in one visit.

–       Escapology: An escape room most appropriate for older kids and teens. Has several options available for a different experience each time.

For Entertainment:

–       Chuck E. Cheese: This childhood entertainment staple is a favorite for pizza, fun and games.

–       Gattiland: Kids can fill up on pizza, pasta, salad and desserts at the buffet and enjoy mini bowling, bumper cars and video games.

–       Movies: For a sit-back-and-relax outing, check out the latest releases at Flix Brewhouse, Cinemark 14 or Cinemark Movies 8.

For Creative Expression:

–       Ceramic Lodge: Art studio with walk-in participation. Projects include ceramic painting, glass fusing and canvas painting. Classes and parties are also available.

–       Creative Brick Builders: LEGO building center with parties, classes and “stay and play” times.

–       Barnes & Noble: The bookstore offers various story times for babies and children. Special Story time on Saturday mornings includes a related game or craft.
