Out-of-State Residents Flocking to Texas
November 10, 2020 8:09 pm
New residents from other states are eager to buy homes in Austin TX. In the last five years, Austin has attracted more new residents than any of the other top 50 metropolitan areas in the country.
The largest numbers of out-of-state newcomers are arriving from California. New York, Florida and Illinois are also losing significant numbers of residents to Austin. People are moving here in even larger numbers from within the state of Texas. About half of new Austin residents are coming from other parts of Texas. However, the proportion of out-of-staters is increasing.
Austin offers a growing job market combined with a relatively low cost of living. Huge new complexes are being built by Tesla and Apple, which will bring even more jobs to the area. Numerous other tech and engineering companies are headquartered in the region.
Outside of employment opportunities, new residents are attracted to Austin’s climate, hip culture and active outdoors lifestyle.
Buffington Homes is ready to serve new and existing Austin residents with brand new homes in 9 communities throughout the Austin area. Our thoughtfully designed communities are filled with amenities to help you make the most of what this area has to offer.
