Community Profile: Trace

The Trace community of new homes in San Marcos TX is an innovative mixed-use development with unbeatable convenience and amenities. The master planned community of more than 1,000 home sites will include shopping and office space as well as recreational areas and even a brand new elementary school. Trace is equally convenient to both Austin and San Antonio.

Trace has its own 7-acre park with a 2-acre community center called Presidio Amenity Center. The Center features a resort-quality swimming pool, splash pad and shaded picnic tables. Hikers will enjoy 3 miles of walking trails. A greenbelt is provided with 76 acres of open space.

Buffington Homes will feature floor plans from its Capital series at Trace. Both one and two-story plans are available with 3-4 bedrooms, 2-4 baths and integral garages. Prices start in the 210’s.

Several Buffington homes are under construction at Trace and will be available this summer. The Stevenson II floorplan under construction at 228 Horsemint Way is a 2150-square-foot two-story home with three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a two-car garage. The first floor has a family room; an owner’s retreat with master bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet; a study and a large kitchen with dining area. The second floor has two bedrooms, a full bathroom and a game room that opens to a covered second-story balcony. The home will be available at the beginning of August 2018.
