Austin holiday events are coming soon to get everyone in the seasonal spirit. Find that special gift, enjoy live music and sample good food at these upcoming occasions:
Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
Dec. 13-23 from 11 am-10 pm, Dec. 24 11 am-8 pm
Palmer Events Center, Austin
This festive art market bustles with almost 200 artist booths, live music, good food and two full bars. Vendors will offer everything from small gifts to large fine art pieces. Stymied shoppers can get help from an Art Concierge. Three musical acts every day include performers like Gina Chavez, Dale Watson, Micky and the Motorcars and many more. A one-day ticket is $10 and season passes are $50. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
Austin Trail of Lights
Dec. 10-23 from 7-10 pm
Zilker Park, Austin
Austin’s biggest holiday tradition returns with more than 2 million lights in 60+ displays. Merry Go Round and Ferris wheel rides create a carnival atmosphere with live music and food. The event also includes a fun run, visits with Santa Claus, Movie Night, Heroes Night and UT Night. Admission fees vary. Free general admission is offered on 7 of the 14 nights; otherwise $5. ZIP passes are $20 per night and offer special benefits including early entry and refreshments in heated hospitality tents.

Palmer Events Center
More than 200 booths fill the Junior League of Austin’s annual holiday gift market. Special event parties include a tree lighting party on opening night, a girls’ night out, a pre-opening private shopping party, a sunrise party and a Mad for Plaid party with live music by Jack Ingram. Children’s events, food and more round out the market. Tickets are $15 per day. Additional tickets are needed for party events.
