THE IDEAL APPLICANT will have directly related experience in AP or accounting. Someone with experience in an AP department for a new home builder or construction company would be ideal. Skills will include exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills, strong data entry and computer skills, ability to prioritize, organize, research and solve problems, be a fast learner, must adapt to change rapidly, must have the ability to take direction and be highly dependable. Above all, the applicant must be a person that is professional and wants to do an outstanding job.
This role involves entering invoices, processing construction checks loaded from an external purchase order system, and preparing checks for mailing. This role also involves processing lien waivers related to our construction vendors.
The AP Clerk also performs other general duties within the Accounting Department as needed, including filing, data entry or other clerical tasks.
Bachelor degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with Sage experience. Please indicate experience with your application.
This is an hourly position, paying between $16/hr and $20/hr depending on level of experience.
This position’s daily schedule can be no earlier than 8am.
